Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of Entrepreneurial Poland is an opinion forming body. The Board is composed of the most distinguished individuals designated by outstanding entrepreneurial achievements. The Board convenes biannually and makes decisions regarding introducing new initiatives to the Entrepreneurial Poland program.

Jan Antoszkiewicz

Head of the Department of Innovation at the Warsaw School of Economics. Chairman of the Award Committees in competitions promoting entrepreneurship. Advisor of the line of business heads of inter alia Petrochemia Płocka S.A and the Management Board of Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych S.A. Owner of a consultancy company Leo May Consulting. Author of a series of books „Management Workshops”.
Zygmunt Berdychowski

Chairman of the Advisory Board and the initiator of the Economic Forum in Krynica. Graduate of the Law Faculty of the Jagiellonian University. Lower Chamber (Sejm) deputy in the years 1991-1993 and 1997-2001. In the 80’s twice imprisoned for opposition activity in „Solidarity”

   
Marek Borowski

Economist, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Finance in the years 1993 - 1994, Head of the Bureau of the Council of Ministers in the years 1995 - 1996, Vice-Marshall of the Lower Chamber (Sejm) in the years 1996-2000, Marshall of the Lower Chamber (Sejm) in the years 2001-2004. Member of Parliament of I, II, III, IV and VI tenure. Since May 2004 co-founder and president of Socjaldemokracja Polska, president of the Political Council of SDPL since 2008. 
Jerzy Buzek

Member of the European Parliament. Holder of honoris causa degree of the universities of Seoul and Dortmund and the Opole University of Technology. Former prime minster of Poland, winner of the Prize of Grzegorz Pałka. Decalred the European of the Year by the EU Chamber of Commerce Forum and Man of the Year by a weekly magazine ‘Wprost’ .
   
Michał Chyczewski

Co-founder and the first president of the Economy Education Development Forum [Forum Rozwoju Edukacji Ekonomicznej (FREE)], member of the Association of Polish Economists [Towarzystwo Ekonomistów Polskich], the Polish Association of Business Economists [Polskie Stowarzyszenie Ekonomistów Biznesu] and consultant of the Civil Development Forum [Forum Obywatelskiego Rozwoju]. Currently, the Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury.
Wojciech Dołkowski

Represents PolBAN. Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economic (SGH). Used to be connected inter alia with A.T. Kearney Polska, a start-up in new technology industry in Washington and OLYMPUS University. Since 2003 has been carrying on his own consultancy company Doinvest Partners. In the year 2003 founded PolBAN (Polish Business Angels Network), Poland’s first organization gathering Business Angels. Holds lectures and classes with students. His passion is entrepreneurship, capital markets and development of the Internet. Propagator of active lifestyle.
   
Rafał Dutkiewicz

Research worker for several years. In the 80’s lectured on formal logic at the Catholic University of Lublin [KUL] and the University of Wrocław. The author of numerous academic publications. Turned to business in the 90’s. Founded Radio ESKA, afterwards became one of the first headhunters in Poland. Since President of Wrocław since 2002.
Wojciech Gasparski

Professor of Human Sciences, pro-vice-chancellor of academic survey at the Kozminki University [WSPiZ] in Warsaw. Heads the Business Ethics Center (BEC). Honorary member of the Science of Science Committee of the Polish Academy Of Sciences.
   
Marek Goliszewski

Graduated from the Central School of Planning and Statistics [today the Warsaw School of Economics – SGH] and post-graduate studies at the Department of Journalism at the University of Warsaw. President of Business Centre Club. In his life Marek Goliszewski was doing almost everything. Used to be a wrestler and won medals at the Moscow Universiade. Founded the most elitist business club in Poland - BCC.
Robert Gwiazdowski

President of the Supervisory Board of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Adam Smith Center, arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, runs his own company Gwiazdowski Consulting. Known for his commentaries on socio-economic topics in press, radio and TV.
   
Wojciech Kruk

Graduate of the Poznań University of Economics. Major shareholder of the company W.Kruk. In the years 1991-2001 senator of II, III and IV tenure. Currently president of the Supervisory Boards of W.KRUK S.A. and Deni Cler S.A. President of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Wielkopolska Izba Przemysłowo-Handlowa), Vice-President of the Polish Business Roundtable [Polska Rada Biznesu], since 2005 president of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Commerce [Rada Krajowej Izby Gospodarczej]. Professionally devoted to a family business – a jewelry company. Has come through all positions – from a trainee to the president. He was also active in the field of designing collection of silver jewelry in his company. Hobby: art, painting, literature, tourism, skiing, tennis, bridge, golf.
Grażyna Kulczyk

Graduate of the Law Faculty at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Currently carries out the largest investment in Poznań – The Old Brewery. On daily basis she directs several hundreds of people – from architects, through finance managers to real estate experts. A well known art patron and the wealthiest woman in Poland.
   
Jerzy Kwieciński

Until 8th February2008 Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Regional Development. Vice-President and afterwards President of the European Center for Enterprise [Europejskie Centrum Przedsiębiorczości], devoted to supporting development of Polish enterprises and regions in the process of integration with the European Union.
Janusz Lewandowski

Member of the European Parliament, Vice-President of the Budget Committee. President of the Budget Committee of the European Parliament through 2.5 years. Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Market Economics. Author of numerous articles and columns in "Rzeczpospolita", "Gazeta Wyborcza", "Parkiet", "Polityka", "Wprost" i "Newsweek Polska". Winner of the Kisiel Award in 1993.

President of the Management Board of Platforma Mediowa Point Group S.A. Co-founder and owner of numerous companies and brands such as inter alia „Dlaczego” and Machina magazines, Korba.pl portal, Telecom Media. OnePlayFrame, AdMobile, Gretix. Member of the Polish Business Roundtable Club [Klub Polskiej Rady Biznesu], Polish Economic Society [Polskie Towarzystwo Ekonomiczne], International Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and founder of the New Market Exploratory at the Polish Economic Society [Eksploratorium Nowej Gospodarki przy PTE].

Co-founder and member of PBICA since the beginning of its activity, President of the Management Board of PBICA since September 2005. Since 1991 active in the field of entrepreneurship incubation and innovation, technology transfer and region al development both in Poland and Middle-East Europe.
   
Zbigniew Modrzewski

President of the Junior Enterprise Foundation [Fundacja Młodzieżowej Przedsiębiorczości]. Has been implementing county’s largest economic education programs addressed to youth. Founder of Poland’s first program of Mini-enterprises .
Tadeusz Mosz

TVP journalist with 20 years of experience and author of over two thousand programs focused on socio-economic issues. Co-author and host of the „Plus-minus" magazine, author of economic commentaries in the TV informational program "Panorama”.
   
Zbigniew Niemczycki

Entrepreneur, president of Curtis Group. President of the Polish Business Roundtable [Polska Rada Biznesu] in 1999. Developed a number of enterprises, inter alia RTV casing factory near Mława (main supplier of the Korean LG), White Eagle Aviation and manufacture of medicines Curtis Healthcare in Poznań. Zbigniew Niemczycki owns also the office building Curtis Plaza and SPA Hotel Bryza located in Jurata.
Alojzy Nowak

Dean of the Department of Management at Warsaw University. Professor and head of the Department of Finance at the Kozminski University in Warsaw. Since 1997 has been managing numerous domestic and international survey programs financed by PHARE.
   
Tomasz Nowakowski

Undersecretary of State in the Office of the Committee for European Integration [Urząd Komitetu Integracji Europejskiej], Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Regional Development [Ministerstwo Rozwoju Regionalnego]. Until December 2007 secretary of state in the Office of the Committee for European Integration [Urząd Komitetu Integracji Europejskiej], Vice-President of the European Committee of the Council of Ministers [Komitet Europejski Rady Ministrów].

Michał Olszewski

Representative and expert of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan [Polska Konfederacja Pracodawców Prywatnych Lewiatan]. Coordinator of business angels network – Lewiatan Business Angels. Co-founder of a consultancy company ConQuest Consulting (former JCG) acting in cooperation with the Warsaw School of Economics.

Director of the WUT Business School and co-founder of the Independent Center for Economic Studies [NOBE]. Main economic advisor to PricewaterhouseCoopers Poland.
Jerzy Owsiak

Radio and TV journalist, stained glass maker. Founder and President of the Management Board of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation [Fundacja Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy], main promoter and performer of the annual Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity [Finał Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy] (since 1993), organizator and the greatest open air music festival - Przystanek Woodstock (since 1995).
   
Martin Oxley

Martin Oxley is a businessman active on international scale, worked as General Manager and President in four most prestigious healthcare companies in Central Europe. Consulted numerus highly successful start up’s, help introducing companies on the Stock Exchange and forming first public offers. Currently, Martin Oxley is the General Director of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce [Brytyjsko Polska Izba Handlowa] – winner of the award of the European Chamber of the Year 2005. Under the direction Martin Oxley, BPCC has become the main representative of interest of the polish entrepreneurs on international markets. Martin Oxley is well known person supporting, defending and fighting for Poland’s interests in the expanded European Union.
Janusz Palikot

Polish businessman and writer. Former Vice-President of the Polish Business Roundtable and the Polish Confederation of Private Employers as well as BCC Chancellor. Co-author of the book "Myśli o nowoczesnym biznesie" [“Thoughts about modern business”]. The autobiography of Janusz Palikot was published in March 2007 under the name "Płoną koty w Biłgoraju" [“Burning cats in Biłgoraj”].
   
Krzysztof Pawłowski

Author of over 40 academic publications. Co-founder and president of Club of Catholic Intelligentsia [Klub Inteligencji Katolickiej] in Nowy Sącz. Founder and editor of WSB - National-Louis University in Now Sącz and WSB in Tarnów.
Marcin Polak

President of the Management Board of Think Point – a creative agency focused on consumer education and social communication (www.thinkpoint.pl). Founder the educational portal www.edunews.pl promoting modern patterns of education in Poland. For over ten years professionally engaged in education and social communication, implementing his authorial domestic and international projects. In the years 2002-2007 was the head of education oriented activities of the National Bank of Poland (NBP). Specializes in authorial edutainment projects and education-mix projects. Originator and one of the creators of „Ekonomia po polsku” [“Polish style Economy”] guide and an internationally recognized expert on financial literacy education. Member of the Group of Experts of the European Committee on Financial Literacy Education.
   
Jacek Santorski

Licensed trainer, consultant, social and business psychologist, author of many books, inter alia “Alchemia kariery” [„The Alchemy of career”]. Actively works as a consultant of entrepreneurs and management boards of international corporations based in Poland. Currently, President of the Management Board of Values Group of Advisory Firms.
Maciej Szczechura

Vice-President of the Management Board of Eurobank. Gained professional experience in Corporate Profiles DDB agency. In March 2004 became the Director of the Marketing Department in Eurobank, and thereafter the managing director. Implemented over 50 advertising campaigns. Laureate of inter alia Effie, Leopard, the Marketer of the Year awards. In Eurobank Maciej Szczechura is responsible for communication, marketing and the customer service center, as well as ABI Patronage related projects.
   
Adam Szejnfeld

Graduate of the Law Faculty at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A Polish lawyer, politic, Lawyer Chamber (Sejm) deputy of III, IV, V and VI tenure, currently secretary of state in the Ministry of Economy.
Witold Szwajkowski

Former long term President of the Mikro Fund. Currently President of the Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Attitudes and Economic Independence [Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Promowania Przedsiębiorczych Postaw i Samodzielności Ekonomicznej]. Member of the Development Finance Forum – an international advisory group. Since 2003 has been hosting the discussion seminar “Przedsiębiorczość” [Entrepreneurship] at the Catholic University of Lublin [KUL].
   
Tad Witkowicz

A Polish businessman who made a successful career in the U.S. Left Poland for Canada together with family, graduated in physics in Toronto (also studied at the Jagiellonian University) and worked for several years in the Canadian telecommunication industry in Northern Telecom, afterwards left for the U.S. Since 1980 has been working only in his own companies. Founded and introduced to Nasdaq the company Artel, afterwards bought by 3Com corporation. The next undertaking of Witkowicz was the company Cross Comm, a web development agency. The Polish branch office of Cross Comm, employing 170 programmers, was bought by Intel. The next company - Adlex – focusing on writing software was built basing on programmers from Gdańsk. The company was bought by Compuware – world’s fifth largest software company. The most recent undertaking of Witkowicz is the investments fund Otago Capital supporting new technology oriented enterprises.
Dariusz Żuk

Created the Students’ Forum BCC eight years ago. President of the SF BCC in the years 2001-2006. Vice-President of the Strategic Committee of Business Center Club [Komitet Strategiczny Business Centre Club]. In the years 2002 - 2004 served as the assistant of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Entrepreneurship Team.
